This site is privately run by myself, Marc Mataya from both Charlotte, NC and Banner Elk, NC. 

 

As one of the earliest "investors" in Eagle's Nest after its reopening, I had purchased lot F-1 after seeing a sign for "ATV Trails" at the main entrance in September 2014.  After passing the entrance of Eagle's Nest dozens of times on my Harley, I had finally pulled over to see what this place was all about.  That next day, I owned F-1, then each year thereafter bought another investment lot with total of five lots: F1(sold FSBO), F31(sold FSBO), O15(available), 96(available), 97(sold FSBO).  I had also built the beaver pond trail system over the years knowing that these trails would be a critical part of the neighborhood, as well as my own passion for riding ATVs and dirt bikes. Myself, Adam Cranford and Shawn Stricklen spent years in the thick of the woods flagging unchartered territories to build new trails and fix up old ones. I own a technology company and webservers, so hosting these sites has no associated costs.  The purpose of this site is for property owners at Eagle's Nest to voluntarily join this group to be able to post information and be able to communicate freely as friends, neighbors and co-investors.  POA member distribution lists of emails and phone numbers are not distributed by the Eagle's Nest Property Owners Association management company, so places like here and facebook groups are the only means of connecting with each other.

 

Also, please note that public information about property ownership, including mailing addresses, sales prices and sale year, can be freely found via the Avery County GIS system.

 

To assure a property audience, all new ENPO membership requests get reviewed and approved manually, and members will have to provide proof of their ownership by providing a copy of their POA dues bill email.
